11 TV Teens Who Definitely Aren't Teens Anymore

It's so hard to be a teenager.

It's even harder to be a teenager when an actor, well into their '20s or '30s, is still tapping into those angsty teen emotions.

We get it.

A lot of TV studios cast actors who are older than the characters they play.

But what about those actors who've ended up playing a teenager for several seasons of television?

Here are just a few TV teens who are actually well-past high school.

1. Stefan Salvatore - The Vampire Diaries

Like old times the vampire diaries season 7 episode 18
Paul Wesley has been playing Stefan Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries for 8 years. While Stefan is eternally 17, Wesley himself is in his '30s.

2. Scott McCall - Teen Wolf

Scott mccall teen wolf
Teen Wolf, you say? Tyler Posey, who's played teenage werewolf Scott since the beginning of the series, is actually 25.

3. Spencer Hastings - Pretty Little Liars

Spencer hastings pretty little liars
The lying teens may have had a recent time jump into the future, but prior to that, Troian Bellisario was a woman in her thirties playing a high school student!

4. Matty McKibben - Awkward.

Matty mckibben awkward
Matty might look like he's ready for senior year. In reality, Beau Mirchoff is in his late twenties. We're thinking this might be the real awkward part.

5. Caroline Forbes - The Vampire Diaries

Caroline forbes the vampire diaries
Caroline is the loveliest immortal 17 year old girl on The Vampire Diaries. It's almost too easy to forget that in real-life, Candace King is in her late '20s.

6. Daphne Vasquez - Switched at Birth

Daphne vasquez switched at birth
So you think that Daphne is only 18? Oh no, no, no. A quick internet search reveals that Katie Leclerc, who's been starring on the Freeform series since 2011, is actually turning 30 later this year.

23 TV Characters We DEMAND Return for 2016-17

How many characters died during the last TV season? Too many.

It's always hard to get attached to a character in many ways and have to deal with their exit, due to contract disputes, an actor's will, or a writer who wants to create "shock value" by killing off another female character that can't seem to serve as anything but a love interest for the male lead.

Below are our hopes for characters we'd hope to see return from their standing absence, be that from death or a vacation from all the crazy drama in their towns.

1. Derek Shepherd - Grey's Anatomy

Derek shepherd greys anatomy
We get you wanted to leave Patrick Dempsey. 11 years is a long time to spend on one series, but you were McDreamy, man. How could you leave us? Leave your kids? Leave MEREDITH? We trusted you!

2. Laurel Lance - Arrow

Laurel lance arrow
Laurel Lance's death created quite a stir within the comic community. The Black Canary, most iconicly paired with the Green Arrow, was killed off a Green Arrow television show. Hardly a year after she finally became the Canary. Her death was a great injustice to the character, and the actress, and we'll hope that somehow she'll return eventually, like her sister did.

3. Layla Grant - Nashville

Layla grant nashville
With the news that Nashville would be moving to CMT and Hulu for its fifth season came the news that Layla and Luke Wheeler would no long be part of the fold. Luke's absence won't affect the show much, but Layla became a key player toward the end of Season 4. She has a feud with Juliette that included seducing her ex-husband, and she just had her new single reach #1. How will they write her off when her career was just taking off?

4. Killer Frost - The Flash

Killer frost the flash
Sure, Caitlin Snow is still around on The Flash, but Earth-2 Caitlin was so much more satisfying to watch. She made Dr. Snow more interesting and helped evoke fear and suspense in this superhero-infused world, something the current Caitlin is completely lacking. Will Caitlin be changed into her evil self as Flashpoint proceeds?

5. Grant Ward - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Grant ward agents of shield
Despite Brett Dalton's dashing good looks which would make us want him around forever, Grant Ward's story arc was so terrible. The writers destroyed him with each episode after he was revealed to be a Hydra spy, and they never gave him an opportunity to recover? Did he have true feelings for Daisy/Skye? Would he have made a better Hellfire? We're eternally bitter.

6. Elena Gilbert - The Vampire Diaries

Elena gilbert the vampire diaries
As The Vampire Diaries Season 8 was announced to be the last, rumors have been swirling around Dobrev's potential return to the show for the series finale. Whether you like Stelena or Delena, you have to admit that the show shouldn't have been carried on without Nina Dobrev. It's not The Vampire Diaries without Elena Gilbert.

19 Times Twins Got Too Twisted for TV

$

Twisted twins and doppelgangers. Some engage in incest, others just have horrible, even life-threatening relationships.

For some reason, the shows with twins played by the same actor or actress, in this case Alexandra Chando of The Lying Game, or Sarah Michelle Gellar of Ringer, don't seem to last very long.

But these relationships are always so juicy and dark because even compared to siblings, there's just a certain bond between twins that is undeniable and leads to much deeper rifts in their family fabric.

Seems like daytime soaps have an uncanny habit of revealing a shocking doppelganger.

Below, here are some of our favorite dark, deep, twisty, and puzzling twin relationships.

1. Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce - The Vampire Diaries

Elena gilbert and katherine pierce the vampire diaries
Well, they weren't really twins, but doppelgangers are close enough, right? Dobrev did a marvelous job of separating these two, and an eventual third, Amara, but working as two different emotional characters took its toll and Katherine eventually was sent off to hell. Not without torturing Elena one last time though, her favorite pasttime.

2. Cersei and Jaime Lannister - Game of Thrones

Cersei and jaime lannister game of thrones
Do we really need an explanation of this twisted twincest relationship? Cersei and Jaime, twins, have three children together due to their abnormally close bond that has led them to carry on a sexual relationship for oh-so-many years.

3. Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer - The Lying Game

Emma becker and sutton mercer the lying game
Thankfully, The Lying Game TV show didn't follow the same path and have Sutton Mercer, dead, watching over her sister's search for her murderer. Alexandra Chando effortlessly identified the two girls, not just by their hair, and portrayed such a torn relationship between two girls that never stood a chance. Emma wanted a family, Sutton took hers for granted, that's how it always would be, and that's how it was when the show was cancelled.

4. Jessica DiLaurentis and Mary Drake - Pretty Little Liars

Jessica dilaurentis and mary drake pretty little liars
While we're still getting to know Mary Drake, Andrea Parker has done magnificently well masking the fact that she plays both of these secret-ridden, devious mothers. Which is the evil twin? Are they both evil? All we know is that their relationship was less than ideal.

5. Jack Abbott and Fake Jack - The Young and the Restless

Jack abbott and fake jack the young and the restless
Ever thought about the fact that you're supposed to have an exact doppelganger walking around somewhere on Earth? Well, Jack Abbott discovered his in the most unusual way - sleeping with his wife! In another attempt to take him down, Victor found Fake Jack (real name, Marco Anniselli) in a Peruvian prison, stiffed him up, and brought this shiny fake home to stir up trouble, while Jack was kidnapped and switched out on his wedding night. Ugh.

6. Jesus and Mariana Adams-Foster - The Fosters

Jesus and mariana adams foster
Ignoring the recasting of Jake T. Austin's Jesus, these two twins had a lucky life. When their mother was unfit to care for them, they hadn't been separated, but instead were placed in a loving, safe home with Stef and Lena. But, as with any teenagers, they bicker like siblings, fight dirty, and they love each other more than anything, no matter what's thrown at them.

13 Morally Bankrupt TV Characters

Even the best television characters can be morally bankrupt. They can do the most despicable things, yet we still like them for some reason.

Maybe it's all the drama they cause that makes their presence so much more addictive.

Regardless, most of these characters are not going anywhere, and there's a reason for that.

Have a look through the gallery.

1. Kieran - Scream

Kieran scream
Kieran had the residents of Lakewood fooled. He made them all think he was this great boyfriend to Emma Duvall, but secretly, he was Piper’s accomplice and was helping butcher Emma’s friends and just generally make her life hell. Hopefully with Brandon James in the mix, he’ll get what’s coming to him.

2. Negan - The Walking Dead

Negan the walking dead
You could say that Negan had every right to corner Rick and his group after butchering some of his own, but Negan is the one who thinks he owns all the groups in his vicinity. We’re sitting here waiting on tenterhooks to find out which of out favorite characters are going to be killed by him. It's his way, or your head bashed in, apparently.

3. Katherine - The Vampire Diaries

Katherine the vampire diaries
Katherine Pierce is the polar opposite of Elena Gilbert. Katherine lacks heart, but she more than makes up for it with her quick wit and sass. If Nina Dobrev books a return visit to Mystic Falls, we must get at least one more episode with Katherine.

4. Sin Rostro - Jane The Virgin

Sin rostro jane the virgin
Sin Rostro has been changing her face throughout the two seasons of Jane the Virgin and just generally doing some pretty shady things. She revels in having the upper hand.

5. Jenna - Pretty Little Liars

Jenna pretty little liars
Jenna’s eyes were damaged due to “the jenna thing,” but is she really blind? She seems to know a lot of things about A, so there's that.

6. Cersei - Game of Thrones

Cersei game of thrones
Cersei has always been an opportunist, but her most morally bankrupt moment has got to be blowing up the septum and taking over the Iron Throne. This led to the death of her son, Tommen.

11 TV SlashFic 'Ships That Never Sailed

Sometimes, it's all about the subtext.

Fan fiction has been the norm since the beginning of television, it seems.

Viewers formulate their own versions of the stories that they long to see on their favorite shows, using the characters they already know and love.

Aspiring writers are often encouraged to write a “spec script” for an existing show, something that allows showrunners to see how well newbies will interpret the tone of the series' universe.

But there's another subset of fan fiction that tends to go under the radar: slashfic.

While television has produced excellent gay and lesbian love stories in recent years, there is still a serious lack of representation for those who identify with love stories between two men or two women.

The solution for many of those fans was to manufacture those love stories on their own, and truth be told, some of them are AMAZING.

Passing glances and deep friendships can absolutely be a sign of something more, and fans took note.

While these love stories didn't, or may not, end up playing out on-screen, their impact on fans is no doubt a sign that writers should take note of when concocting future stories for television.

Here are 11 of television's most popular slashfic romances!

1. Maura and Jane - Rizzoli and Isles

Rizzoli and isles photo
Maura and Jane have been regarded by many fans as “the gayest straight women on television.” The show does seem to have played into the multitude of femmeslash writers who were sure that their leading ladies were more than friends, but never actually sealed the deal on them as a couple, leading to a lot of dismay among those fans who just wanted to see it happen.

2. Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock - Star Trek

Captain kirk and mr spock star trek
Kirk and Spock are the origin story of slashfic. Many fans of Star Trek wanted to see the two fall in love, and handwrote their lovestory, sharing it with one another at Star Trek conventions (because the internet was still 20+ years away). That's dedication to storytelling.

3. Emma and Regina - Once Upon a Time

Emma and regina once upon a time
Swan Queen fans are passionate, and for good reason. The deep love and friendship that's developed between the two women raising a son together and constantly saving their town is undeniably fascinating. Scenes between Emma and Regina are sometimes more electrifying than scenes that include any other pairing.

4. Dean and Castiel - Supernatural

Dean and castiel supernatural
Castiel pulled Dean out of Hell, and life on Supernatural has never been the same. While their friendship has never become more on the series, fans delight in imagining what could be between the Angel and the Hunter who clearly have a whole lot of love between them.

5. Quinn and Rachel - Glee

Quinn and rachel glee
Faberry fans joined forces a few years back to crown them as the top 'ship of the year on many on-line entertainment polls. The two weren't romantically involved. They were barely even friends. But viewers saw something in their tense and awkward friendship that lead them to believe that Quinn and Rachel were each other's perfect match.

6. Stiles and Derek - Teen Wolf

Stiles and derek teen wolf
Sterek, guys. Sterek is a cornerstone of the Teen Wolf fan fiction fandom. Though these two never actually knocked boots, the case for it seems pretty solid from Sterek fans' point of view. Fans even sent cookies to the show's creators in an attempt to get this 'ship sailing. The writers just didn't seem to see what Sterek fans did.

Teen Wolf Season 6: Linden Ashby and Melissa Ponzio on Sheriff Stilinski and Mama McCall

$

0

Are you ready for the final season of Teen Wolf?

That's right, it's coming to an end as Teen Wolf Season 6 begins Tuesday at 9/8c on MTV.

Melissa Ponzio was hoping she'd be on the show for seven seasons, and will definitely miss getting the call to be on set.

Ironically, she wasn't the first choice for the character, but her love of the shooting location was really beneficial.

Additionally, Creator Jeff Davis' promised three-episode parental arc turned out to be more than she ever dreamed.

It's been a real gift that fans have embraced the parents just as much as they embraced the teens, as well.

Given the special focus on the loss of Stiles, the parents will be featured together and Ponzio and Linden Ashby (Sheriff Stilinski) get a lot of moments to cherish together.

But while the only the only 'ship the entire fandom can agree upon in the series is Mama McCall and Papa Stilinski, she said Davis promised her we'll never get what we want.

Whether that is the truth or not, we'll not only find out over the next 20 episodes, but also still excited to see where these two go together.

According to Ashby, it's a season about loss and what ifs, sliding doors. Stiles is missing, having been taken.

The first half of Teen Wolf Season 6 will be essentially examining what their lives would have been if Stiles had never been a part of it.

The second half, the last ten episodes, will be wrapping up the series and honoring what they've done.

Ashby says they're going out guns blazing.

Despite the weighty material, don't expect it to be lacking humor, and you'll see a lot of it in Linden's interview, as well. If you're hoping for full frontal nudity? Hey, don't rule it out!

He's very happy to have the opportunity to make the journey he makes with Sheriff Stilinski during Season 6, and gives kudos to Jeff Davis for his creativity.

Find out what he'll miss and for what he's grateful from this experience in Teen Wolf.

And most importantly, discover whether or not the Sheriff might find love before it's all over.

We'll be posting more interviews tomorrow, including a feature with Tyler Posey (Scott) and creator Jeff Davis, so keep an eye out!

If you need to catch up, watch Teen Wolf online...you're running out of time!

Tyler Posey and Jeff Davis on Teen Wolf Without Stiles, a Satisfying End & More

$
0
0

We have two interviews today, including one with the big boss, Jeff Davis, and one with the Teen Wolf himself, Tyler Posey, to get you all into the mood for the final season premiere tonight at 9/8c on MTV!

Jeff Davis always imagined that Teen Wolf Season 5 Episode 20 would be the finale, but MTV hoped they'd make it to 100, and that's where it will end. He's excited to make it and thinks the ending will turn out much better than he ever expected.

When we asked if there's anyone who He'd love to bring back Haley Webb and Colton Haynes, but it's up to negotiations more than it is to him.

Ian Bohen will definitely be back as Peter Hale, as well as some LaCrosse Players. There are a lot of people who have come and gone and they still have ten episodes left to shoot.

SPOILER ALERT!

They're hoping to kill a few people. We're going to see far less of Stiles than we'd like, but having Dylan O'Brien back at all is more than we can ask, right? Tyler Posey spills the beans below as to where and why we won't see be seeing Stiles.

There's not much to spoil with a show like Teen Wolf, but you can't say we didn't try. There will be real, wrenching emotions and it will be a fitting end for a show they loved making as much as we loved watching.

He noted he hopes nobody thinks they jumped the shark and stayed too long, especially because Happy Days lasted about seven seasons after Fonzi actually jumped the shark.

And if you don't know what that's all about, isn't it about time you did? Look it up!!

Tyler Posey (Scott) shared that Stiles is going to be completely erased from the memories of everyone, and the characters will go about their lives with this niggling feeling that there's something missing, something wrong.

It will be like It's a Wonderful Life, but from the perspective of the townspeople and not the Jimmy Stewart Character.

This, no doubt, goes back to Dylan O'Brien's availability, but if there's any character that would make a lasting impact if erased from the series, it would be his. It sounds like a great storyline.

Posey's favorite part about Teen Wolf is the way they've been able to perfectly balance horror, comedy, romance and sexiness with so many other aspects, and happiness won't last long this season.

Without Stiles, not only wouldn't Scott be a werewolf, but he wouldn't be as cool as he has become. Find out in the interview below how we'll see Scott during Teen Wolf Season 6 without Stiles and so much more before the premiere tonight at 9/8c!

Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 1 Review: Memory Lost

$

All right final season, let's do this.

On Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 1, the Wild Hunt has begun, and it is heartbreaking. It's mainly just painful for us, at the moment, because we know what everyone else has forgotten, or rather who everyone else has forgotten – Stiles.

I think that 99% of the viewers came into this premiere knowing that Stiles gets taken. It was never really a secret.

Unwanted assistance - Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 1

However, it should have been.

Stiles being taken by the Ghost Riders is set up sooooo nicely. There are a lot of little clues sprinkled throughout the premiere that warn us this is coming.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like the signs were wasted or anything because we knew the outcome. Each sign that Stiles was next was like a punch in the gut. They were a reminder that pain is coming, and it's coming really soon.

But think about if we didn't know what was coming.

Think about the moment when everything started to click like with the kid wearing Stiles' jersey. This could have been such a shocking and heartbreaking twist that would have broken Twitter, as well as all of our brains. Personally, I wish we didn't know it was coming. Don't you?

Stiles: You'll forget me.
Lydia: I won't. I won't. I won't.
Stiles: You will. Try to find some way to remember me. Okay? Remember how you the first girl I ever danced with? Or how I had a crush on you freshman year? Sophomore year. Senior year? Or how you saved my life?
Lydia: You saved my life too.
Stiles: Just remember, remember I love you.
Lydia: Remember. Remember...remember.

The introduction to the Ghost Riders and the Wild Hunt is nicely done, but there is this feeling of, "now what?" We've identified the big bad, so how long is it going to take the pack to stop them?

If we drag it out too long, then it makes the pack look incompetent or the mystery becomes convoluted with twists and turns.

If anyone watches or watched Legends of Tomorrow Season 1, the whole season is the team fighting the same bad guy over and over in different time periods. After a couple of encounters, you just wonder why the team can't get their shit together and defeat this guy already.

However, the Ghost Riders is a nice way to explain Dylan O'Brien's absence, and it's not like the pack can defeat the Ghost Riders and not bring back Stiles. THAT IS NOT AN OPTION, OKAY?!

teen wolf guy

The season is just beginning, so hopefully this turns into a well-paced storyline. What's your first impression of the Wild Hunt?

I really just want to know why Scott wasn't a target. He did see them, but maybe it doesn't count because Scott witnessed them by witnessing Alex witness them. Yeah, that sort of made sense.

Scott bringing up how Beacon Hills doesn't need him and Stiles anymore is a very interesting conversation because it highlights the fact that Stiles does not want to let go.

Scott: I can not miss any more classes.
Stiles: Scott.
Scott: I missed 38 last semester.
Stiles: Scott.
Scott: Lydia's mom is the only reason I'm still in school.

Now, this could just be because Stiles does not want to face the fact that everyone is moving on and will be drifting apart as high school ends and college begins, or it could be because Stiles does not want to live a normal life. He might like the danger, the mysteries, and the sense of being aware of something the majority of the world doesn't know about.

It would be really interesting to further explore this with Stiles and even Scott. Liam is already thinking about what life will be like once Scott goes off to college, but it's unclear if Scott has thought about it from a pack perspective. Can you do a long distance Alpha relationship?

Hopefully this season will really focus in on what graduation means to the pack, and we will get to see everyone's thoughts on what should or will happen.

What did you think of the episode? Do you think there hasn't been a supernatural incident in Beacon Hills in three months because that is how long the Wild Hunt has been going on? Leave your thoughts and theories in the comments below.

Where did Stiles disappear to?

That was a key question on Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 1 when he was wiped from existence, but who was to blame for this latest supernatural development in Beacon Hills?

Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 2 Review: Superposition

Claudia Stilinksi is back, and it's heartbreakingly amazing.

On Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 2, everyone slowly figured out that something was different. It's handled really nicely, actually. There are little Stiles Stilinksi clues sprinkled all throughout the episode.

Malia highlighting the word "style" in red is probably my favorite, but they are all great. Each clue is a reminder to all of us, as well.

A Missing Friend - Teen Wolf

Scott remembering that someone is back at back shots makes you think of all the amazing Stiles and Scott training sessions. Malia realized that she is reverting back into her were-coyote self a bit because she didn't have Stiles to keep her human.

With Lydia, she just remembered how essential Stiles was to her everyday life. She sat next to him in class. She walked with him in the hallway and met with with Stiles every morning. All these clues remind us at how essential Stiles is to all three of their lives.

What's even better is that the time was given for Scott, Malia, and Lydia to try to figure things out themselves. This process was not rushed, and it was enjoyable watching them react to each little clue. We got to see the thought process and watch them try to piece together the clues.

Scott: I know this sounds crazy, but I think I had a best friend, and I think he was out here with me that night.
Malia: It doesn't sound crazy. I know that someone chained me up, and I think they wanted me to stay human.
Lydia: I came to school this morning, and I was sure I was supposed to meet someone, but I couldn't remember who I was supposed to meet. I have been looking for them all day. Whoever it is, I think I loved him.
Scott: What if we're all missing the same person?

One thing I'm still not clear on is how the memory of someone returns.

Corey's skill was developed a little bit further, in a super cool way, and thanks to him bringing that library card back into reality, Liam, Mason, and Corey were able to remember Jake Sullivan. It's unclear if everyone will remember him or just the three of them will.

Lydia, Scott, and Malia have read Stiles' name, and Lydia spoke his name, but they are still confused and don't remember him. Does this mean that it will take some physical trace of the person the Ghost Riders erased to bring their memory back?

Corey's new development is intriguing, but what's not is the fighting between him and Liam. It's just unnecessary drama, really.

The best thing about the newbies (yes, they are still newbies) is their friendships and seeing them interact with the original pack. The bickering just does not work. You end up wanting to slap them on the back of the head and tell them to get over it.

I'm also a Sheriff's Deputy working on an unsolved murder that for once doesn't involve shapeshifters, resurrected 18th century serial killers, or me.

Parrish

So the dead guy was stealing helium that is used as a treatment for people who suffered from respiratory injuries caused by a fire or explosion. Hmmm, can you think of anyone who was probably burned as he went to hell?

That's right. My money is on the helium being stolen from the hospital for Theo. Why couldn't he have just stayed in hell?

I don't know about you, but I'm afraid that somehow this season will end with Claudia sacrificing herself in order for Stiles to come back. I know, I went to the painful place. I'm sorry.

If Stiles being gone brought her back, I'm not sure they could both exist in the present day. Any theories on how Claudia is back?

What did you think of the episode? Any theories why Lydia wrote the word "mischief" as she sort of wrote out Stiles' name? Leave your thoughts and theories in the comments below.

Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 3 Review: Sundowning

The Sheriff opening up to Scott is now one of my all time favorite scenes.

On Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 3, we get to meet Elias Stilinski, aka the Sheriff's dad! He's an interesting character that's for sure. Getting to learn more about the Stilinski family is an unexpected upside to Stiles' absence.

The Sheriff opening up to Scott about how his father was abusive is such an amazing moment. Scott and the Sheriff have a nice relationship that isn't usually explored or showcased, and it's good to know that even in a universe without Stiles, Scott is still close with the Sheriff — he's like a dad to Scott.

Keeping a Friend Safe - Teen Wolf

The Sheriff being that open and vulnerable is something that has not really happened, at least not that I can really remember. The fact that he shares all of this with Scott is just icing on the cake. Of course, it would have been even better if he told Scott what his dad said.

Go crawling back to your dead wife and your loser son!

Elias Stilinski

I have a lot more questions about how the Ghost Riders operate after this hour, especially when it comes to erasing people and altering everyone's memories in the process.

We aren't told how they do it, but we know that they are pretty damn good at what they do. So, why can someone who suffers from dementia remember the other timeline, the one where Stiles exists and Claudia is dead?

Perhaps it is because their mind is fading, struggling to remember the year and to recognize people. The Ghost Riders did a number on Elias, but perhaps his brain just considers their story as yet another truth that it is battling, just like how it once was 1976, and Stiles was once alive.

You can kind of piece together how Elias remembered Stiles. What does not make sense is how Gwen still remembers her sister, Phoebe.

Maybe we weren't seeing how much Stiles had already been erased before we saw everyone forget him, but Stiles was still there. He had not been taken. Phoebe has been.

Gwen was the only one who remembered her sister.  This makes me think that Gwen is remembering her sister far longer than Lydia remembered Stiles, and it's just not sitting right with me. There's no explanation as to why. You can't argue that it's a family tie because the Sheriff forgot Stiles before Lydia did.

This bothered me. It would have made more sense if Phoebe was still there, and Liam and company were trying to prevent Gwen and Phoebe from being taken. What do you think?

Another Ghost Rider development of the hour involved Parrish. They had an intense stare down after Parrish insisted on yelling out commands that he normally yells out to normal criminals. Um, Parrish, you can see the Ghost Rider. Does he look like a run of the mill criminal to you?

Yes, Parrish can see the Ghost Riders. They are either afraid of him, view him as an equal, or do not consider him worth their time or something. It's the only theory I have to explain why the stare down happened and then ended with the Ghost Rider vanishing. There was not any violence directed towards Parrish, only a glare.

Chris Argent: I need your help. There's a body in your morgue I need to examine.
Melissa: And you can only sneak into kitchens.

The only bright side to the Mr. Douglas mystery is that it brought Chris Argent back into our lives. I will admit, for a moment I thought/wished that Isaac was in the McCall kitchen. Sure, Parisians probably accept his scarf wearing ways better than the people of Beacon Hills, but it's time for Isaac to return home.

Chris and Melissa working together was awesome for so many reasons. Aside from just their natural chemistry, this is an adult team up, and they are getting shit done.

In the world of Teen Wolf, it's usually the pack that figures everything out, and then the adults are either oblivious or they get looped in eventually. This time, the pack is focused on Ghost Riders, so all the Nazi werewolf detective work has fallen on Chris and Melissa.

What did you think of the episode? What's your favorite moment? I loved Scott giving a pep talk to Liam, and then Malia throwing out her kidnapping advice. Share your thoughts and favorite moment from the episode in a comment below!

Liam: Or you can stay here and help me convince Gwen that she's in danger.
Scott: It's not your job to convince her. It's your job to keep her safe.
Malia: Just kidnap her.
Scott: Don't kidnap her.

Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 4 Review: Relics

Hmm, so the Ghost Riders travel by lightning, you say? It's a shame we don't know a kitsune...

On Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 4, Mason uncovered some decent intel on the Ghost Riders, but, of course, there are still a gazillion and one questions.

For instance, why are there all of a sudden like 20 Ghost Riders, and why can everyone see them now?

We Need to Find Him - Teen Wolf

Seriously, by the end of the hour, Scott, Malia, and Chris can see the Ghost Riders. The newbies all saw them at the party, so the only "safe" people are Melissa, Lydia, Natalie, and Finstock.

It is a little strange that a good bit of our main characters can see them now because this means that they all have a countdown clock to erasure.

It's a little hard to believe that everyone who has seen the Ghost Riders (aka the majority of the cast) will be taken, but if they aren't, either the Ghost Riders suck at their job or the pack is going to figure out a way to stop them in like two episodes. Neither option is all that great.

The timetable as far as when The Ghost Riders erase you is not all that clear.

At least half of the people at the game could see the Ghost Riders, and the Ghost Riders took Gwen and everyone in the bunker from the party. After the bunker raid, the Ghost Riders vanished.

Now, they could have a quota as to how many people they can take a night or there could be a "you have 24 hours to live" kind of deal, and now I'm thinking about The Ring. Great.

Anyways, Liam, Mason, and Hayden also saw the Ghost Riders at the party, so where do they fit on the time table?

There are still so many questions as to how the Ghost Riders operate, and if somehow the pack keeps dodging being taken, it is just going to feel off and weaken the effect of the Ghost Riders as villains.

It would not make sense for the Ghost Riders to ignore people who have seen them the longest without a reason.

There is going to need to be some excuse as to why, let's say, Scott saw them two weeks ago and is still kicking while an unnamed kid saw them two hours ago and was taken before Scott. Do you get what I'm saying?

Now, it does look like next week's episode is Stiles focused, so if we spend the entire episode with the people who have already been taken, that buys everyone in Beacon Hills time, episodically speaking. Is anyone else beyond excited to see Stiles again?

Melissa: You are probably wondering why I'm out here when I could be nestled at home reading a book. It's because I am sick of seeing people I care about wheeled past the nurses station on a gurney. All of you are out here risking your lives, and it's about time that I do something too.
Chris: In my experience when tracking homicidal supernaturals, it is best to be quiet.

Okay, where is my Melissa and Chris spin off?

Make no mistake, Melissa and Chris working together is the best part of the hour. Granted, they did not actually discover any new information on the serial killer, but they are so much fun to watch. I mean, hello, did you see the ship pick up speed?

They were holding hands while Chris was in the hospital. I feel a little bad cheating on my Melissa and Noah ship, but, who can deny Melissa and Chris' chemistry?

Actually, Chris is all around awesome this hour, especially his scene with Malia where he opened up about Kate.

Chis training Malia sounds like a whole lot of fun. In this world without Stiles, Malia needs someone to help her gain control, and Chris would be a great teacher.

Chris: You know that bloodlust you felt? I've seen that look before. When I was your age, I saw someone lose control and slaughter an innocent, and I did nothing.
Malia: I'm not that werewolf.
Chris: It wasn't a werewolf. It was a hunter, and she made excuses, made a very convincing case that lethal force was necessary, but it wasn't. And if I had done something that night, then maybe my sister won't be the monster that she is today.
Malia: Kate.
Chris: Animals lose control. You're not just an animal, Malia. You're a human. You stay that way by getting involved.

By the way, is anyone else suspicious of Claudia now? That was not a normal reaction to someone peeling back a corner of the wallpaper. It's not like Lydia ripped off half the wall.

What did you think of the episode? I don't know about you, but I'm in shock that Scott and Malia are giving up on Stiles so quickly. Yes, the Ghost Riders are threat, but don't give up on Stiles! Leave your thoughts and theories in the comments!

Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 5 Review: Radio Silence

This was, hands down, the best episode of the season so far.

On Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 5, Stiles and Peter were forced to team up, which was pretty entertaining.

They make such a delightfully strange pair, and I was actually glad that Peter was on my TV screen. He was enjoyable.

An Unexpected Ally - Teen Wolf

Aside from the fun partnership, one of the best things about this hour was the pacing. Nothing was rushed.

We got to watch Stiles and Peter slowly figure out what was going on.

Not only that, but their scenes made up the majority of the episode. Their storyline was really allowed to develop, which was fantastic.

There weren't too many scenes in Beacon Hills, and Liam's mission to catch a Ghost Rider did not come up at all.

I'm not saying I'm not interested in that storyline because I definitely am, but I'm glad it did not appear in this episode.

All it would have done is take time away from Stiles and Peter in the train station, which would have been a shame.

Stiles: Can you remember how you got out? Did they discharge you?
Peter: No the power went out, and I ran like hell.
Stiles: That's it? You just ran?
Peter: Yes. That's it. I literally just ran from the insane asylum that was holding me hostage.

It is always more entertaining to be able to watch people put their heads together and do some problem solving rather than just being told the outcome.

Stiles' detective work has been missed, and so it was great to see him back in action.

While we know Stiles is brilliant, it was actually great to see that someone else had tried all the doors before.

The Wild Hunt has been going on a while, and  so it would have been really sad if Stiles was the first one to question his surroundings.

Even though the random guy doesn't really get a name or anything, the fact that he existed and did find a way out was awesome.

Plus, we got a really funny scene where Peter startles the guy and Stiles.

One of the issues with the Ghost Riders involves the fact that they erase people's minds.

In previous episodes, the question has been how long it takes people to forget someone who has been taken.

Now the question involves how people remember those who were taken or even just their own memories in general.

For instance, Peter seems to remember how he got to the train station because Stiles reminded him.

It was like the mention of Eichen House brought back everything for Peter.

Malia and Scott remembered Peter by looking in his eyes, I think.

I'm still a little fuzzy on what the exact trigger was, but Malia remembered Peter before Scott, and it seemed to be because she made eye contact with him first.

I've lost a lot of people in my life. It's a long list, and I don't feel like adding to it.

Malia

Lydia and Scott remembering Stiles seemed to be a combination of the jeep turning on and hearing Stiles' voice.

There's not one trigger that is exactly the same, so maybe the answer is that it just varies from person to person.

It's a shitty answer, but it's the best I can do.

Hopefully as the pack continues to investigate the Ghost Riders, we will get some answers, but knowing Teen Wolf, the unanswered questions and ambiguity may just have to be something that we live with.

What's your theory on what triggers people's memories to return?

What did you think of the episode and Stiles' return? Also, what high school student carries that much cash with them to class?
